We are pleased to welcome Leeds Dubstep don BREAKFAKE to the Wheel & Deal Records family with a stellar EP to kick off our releases in 2022. The RESOLUTION EP is a blend of original foundation sounds and percussions with modern Dubstep sound design. BREAKFAKE’S tracks have featured regularly on N-Type’s Rinse Fm show and also had support from DJ’s such as Mala, J Kenzo, Hatcha, Joe Nice, DeepTempo, Oddkut, Ternion Sound and more.

‘RESOLUTION’ is the lead track of the EP, coming in heavy with a subbed out saturated bass lines, deep textures, psychedelic dub FX, and massive bubbling second drop to smash the dance floor. This is a perfect example of BREAKFAKE’S style and execution, setting precedence for the rest of the EP.

‘NOWHERE’ is reminiscent of days gone by but with a new twist. The beats are skipping and energetic with hints of Garage and Dub Techno. The melody’s are haunting and contagious, laced with a thick sub that is hypnotic, perfect for the dance floor and home listening.

‘TITAN’ is ladened with deep textures, swirling Dub FX, hypnotic melodies and skipping beats. This track leans towards more chill out Dubstep but the infectious percussion gives it a tribal essence.

‘WICKED AND WILD’ leans of the ‘Dubbier’ side, with reggae skank, spring verbs and dub FX with ‘Special Request’ vocal sample. This is the most chilled track on the EP, great for zoning an bass meditation.

‘WOODLANDS’ is an exclusive BANDCAMP only track as a bonus. Deep and dubby and full of character. Dub Trumpet and sinister pads gel with BREAKFAKE’S signature dub FX and mysterious textures. A fine way to conclude the EP.
