We are pleased to welcome Canadian producer COLTCUTS to Wheel & Deal Records with a massive 4 track EP. The CATNIP EP is a collection of high energy tracks, rich in sound design and built to destroy the dance floor. This EP has been causing a madness in the clubs and festivals across the globe with solid support from N-Type, Joe Nice, Truth, J Kenzo, Badklaat, Ternion Sound, Hatcha, Abstract Sonance, Biome, Enada, Minty, Muhla and more.

‘CATNIP’ was first picked as a ‘WIP’ by N-TYPE just as he left for OUTLOOK ORIGINS FESTIVAL in 2021. This track then became one of the stand out Dubs of the festival with multiple reloads in the dance. The Distorted mid range snarls and uplifting hoover like bass, drop hard and heavy quickly followed by distorted Reece bass lines and staggered ‘Trap’ Claps. This track makes a massive impact in the dance and has plenty of space for MC’s to ride it out.

‘1645%’ track got its name from the numbers that COLTCUTS computer CPU was firing out while he built this beast of a track. Lucky for us the computer survived the process and blessed us with this thunderous stepper. Triplet beats stagger and stab through the dance floor with rumbling sub and midrange bass edits. ‘1645%’ carries COLTCUTS signature sound and destroys dances!

‘TRIM’ is a robotic ‘Jump up’ track with a stateside skank to it.‘TRIM’ has big build ups and bass lines to match, this track fills genre divides between ‘Stadium Sound’ and underground club tracks, you can hear this played in both scenarios and smashing it!

‘SAME AREA’ is an up-tempo (150bpm) robotic stomper, crossing the lines of sound design and dance floor smasher. This track has a Digital Hip Hop feel to it which is emphasised by the big switch up on the second drop. This is Dance floor fire and concludes COLTCUTS EP in fine style.
